The Amerindian children living in the Pomeroon Riverport of Charity, Guyana, South America celebrate the arrival of the Sparrows Gate Mission team. This visit was the beginning of a vision to disciple poor Amerindian children living along the Pomeroon River from Charity all the way to the border of Venezuela.

Getaway from the noise of the world for one month in Central Oregon and then invest an optional month in Latin America or Asia. Hang out under the shiny stars and give the Holy Spirit a chance to speak to your heart about a new begining.

Expect spiritual growth and rewards. Discover and develop new ways to serve Him in any impoverished culture with hands-on mission training and experience. Leaders and teachers are real missionaries on the cutting edge of meeting the physical, spiritual, emotional, educational and medical needs of the poor abroad.

One month of classroom training takes place in the very beautiful high desert of central Oregon near Bend. Lodging and food is provided. Then participants who are willing to GO will gain hands-on mission experience at our mission base camp in Ensenada, Mexico for one month of service at our Oaxacan Indian children's schooL

Another possibility for your one month mission training practicum abroad, may be to serve Maya children for a month in Belize, Central America or help out at our daycare center in Davao, Philippines. Your leader will decide if one of these two additional locations are options depending on your talents, interests and the kind of volunteer help needed at the time in Belize and the Philippines.

After two months of training, you may apply for an extended term of service with Sparrows Gate Mission or other missions of your choice. We can also recommend several mission organizations worldwide who are in need of volunteers.
