Entry way to Timothy House

Sparrows Gate Visitors Center, Ensenada

A Home for the Destitute

A home was built near our Castle Christian School in 2007 to help care for and influence single, destitute moms and their children for Christ, and provide transitional housing.

A single, needy mother and her children currently live in this home known as the Timothy House. Two of her older sons, ages10 and 8, attend our school that is just two blocks away.

We own several adjacent lots and may build more homes for needy, single moms and their children in the future.

Ensenada Visitor Center

Sparrows Gate needed land to build a visitor center with dorms for Christian groups coming from the U.S. to Ensenada to help with outreach, school activities and projects.

Dean Tinney was so impressed with the location and price of a lot near the Mission’s elementary school, home for single moms and transpeninsular highway in Ensenada that he used his credit card to buy it and was able to pay off the large debt within 18 months.

The single, small dorm we built was all there was in 2005 but today our Ensenada Visitor Center offers mission guests an ample kitchen, dining room and three dorms to lodge up to 32 mission guests.
